Since I went through a lot of struggle to get pregnant, I'd like to share with you the protocol that finally worked. It was an estrogen priming protocol, because the IVF attempt immediately preceding it yielded two dominant follicles and was thus canceled. Estrogen priming prevents such a situation from ocurring.
The working cycle also used Saizen, which is human growth hormone. Since the egg and embryo quality was markedly different on the working cycle, I feel strongly that the HGH had a positive influence.

An FYI, I took the estrogen (Estrace) longer than necessary because I wanted to delay my cycle due to a vacation.

Interesting, you started your HGH on stim day 1. The article that you cited regarding HGH elsewhere said that HGH in the study was started on stim day 7 (which seems late to me considering that I only did 7 days of stims in my last cycle!)
Do you know how many units of HGH you were taking? I noticed that you did 0.8ml or cc...but how many units were in each syringe?

Linda -- I actually made a mistake starting HGH on day 1 -- I was supposed to start on Day 3. But the way they sell it, I would have had left overs so I didn't sweat it. Also I shot up 1.0ml instead of the .8ml that my doc said to use.

Congratulations.
I am now 42 and considering a cycle with HGH. I was successful on a normaln protocol at 39.75 years and have a wonderful daughter. We just tried another fresh cycle at almost 42 and had 7 mature eggs but only 2 fertilized and did not grow. My RE is suggesting we had HGH.
