Here's some pics I took today in Santa Cruz. I flew to San Jose mid-afternoon for some work training this week and had a few hours to kill. (Well not really but can't work all the time, right?) It was a 45-minute drive down a really beautiful, treesey, windy road to get there. First I went to Santa Cruz Beach which has an amusement park and there were people everywhere. Then I asked around for a quieter beach spot and got pointed toward Lighthouse State Beach. There was a sidewalk along the top of a cliff with spots of beach here and there below, waves crashing, surfers in wetsuits, and seals on the rocks making seal noises. There were a bunch of people hula-hooping in the yard of the lighthouse to music. Wonder if they do it every Sunday?!
